Detox Juices
Digestive Stimulator
Ginger aids and soothes the digestive tract during a detox.
SERVINGS
Makes 2 servings of 16-20 oz (500-600 ml)
INGREDIENTS
6 carrots
4 apples
2 in (2.5 cm) piece of ginger
NUTRITION
Carrots are the richest plant source of vitamin A, and a good source of potassium. Apples contain antioxidants that help protect ‘good’ cholesterol levels in the blood. Ginger root reduces nausea, pain and inflammation, and provides heartburn relief. It also aids digestion and may help to boost the body’s thermogenesis and metabolism.
Colon Cleanser
This juice is rich in Vitamin C which works as an activator, so a great compliment to an Epsom’s flush.
If you want to use this as a stand alone colon cleanser without the Epsom flush then add 1/4-1/2 tsp of Himalayan or sea salt.
SERVINGS
Makes 1 servings of 16-20 oz (500-600 ml)
INGREDIENTS
2 lemons peeled and halved
4 apples quartered
2 cucumbers halved
1 cup water
1/4-1/2 tsp of Himalayan or sea salt (if not doing Epsom flush)
NUTRITION
Lemons are a brilliant source of vitamin C to really boost the immune system and vitamin C activates the salts during a cleanse. Apples contain antioxidants that help protect ‘good’ cholesterol levels in the blood.
